Hi Honey--
I'm glad it all went well. It does help when you know the couple already.

I was confused about the nine year old. It sounded like you picked him up while dad was still dressed, only without the wig. And you turned out the lights in the van? I wasn't sure what you were referring to there. You wouldn't be driving with the interior lights on anyway, and it's not like anyone had noticed anything on the way over.

Nice post!

Anita, sorry for the confusion.
originally we were going to drop off DH at home and I would go pick up the son. It was getting pretty late so we just deceided to go for it. When we got to my daughters house he just removed the wig and I ran in and picked up son. DH in the meantime turned off the interior lights so they would not come on and illuminate him in all his glory! Son was so tired that I really don't think he would have noticed anyway, although he might have noticed the makeup and the long dangly earrings!!
None of our kids know at this point and with their ages we are not planning on telling them at this time. But we are getting closer to sharing with our daughter who is very accepting of most lifestyles. She and I have had several conversations about CD when the topic comes up on TV or from a book we are reading.

Thanks again for all your positive support.
