I'm almost always cold but that has nothing to do with a bra in the summertime..I try for the most comfortable thing I can find in the heat..sports bra's with breathable material..going bra-less in the summer is not an option for me outside my house...once I'm home in the A/C , I am once again cold..hee,hee hee and hit the showers and then wear a man's oversized shirt with comfy white cotton socks (like Tom cruise style only I put my hair up in pig tails) and then I'm set..........
Hi Lefty,
This post hit the spot! I never knew that.
Interesting.
Thanks for wrapping the post with a bow. (The femme Tom Cruise look)
Hmmm, anti-perspirant under your breasts, Amber? I hadn't thought of that one. Neither had I thought of a anti-perspirant/talc combo. Those are good tips. Thanks. Usually, in my case, the part of the bra that tends to chafe in high heat is the one the goes around below my armpits. To paraphrase Captain Brody: "I'm gonna need a bigger bra."
Of course, one good way to prevent the pungent aroma of stale sweat is to keep your armpits shaved--the odor-causing bacteria tend to collect on the hairs there. Personally, I find fresh sweat--and I stress the word fresh--to be rather sexy and appealing... depending on the circumstances, of course. (Yes, I am expecting a bunch of corny jokes about the French, here. )
[ dear sharon for me being a crossdresser the summer time also poses problems.i am a delivery person and on my route i allways wear a bra ,either in summer or winter winter is easier as i can wear my jacket over my shirt and no one will notice.now in the summer this is a problem and as i usually wear my breast forms all the time i will have to start to wear a very light jacket to cover my bra.but this will not stop me from wearing my bra as it is a part of me now love phylis anne quote="Curly(SO)"]I've never found bras to be hot to wear Maybe, because, if it's really hot, I'd wear a floaty cotton dress...much cooler than a t-shirt. Do you think men suffer more from the heat then women? I've always noticed that men sweat more than women in my experience! We don't sweat, we glow

My name is Phylis Anne and I am enjoying my life as a crossdresser and being a woman who loves life
This thread has been very interesting. Before I tell you what I think, let me cover a little more ground ahead of the game.
Going back to perhaps 10,000 + years in history as modern humans began to show up on the planet, there were some specific givens. Men more often than not were exposed daily to the rigors of the outdoors, hunting, etc. Women stayed close to home and tended the fires, the cooking, making clothing and gathering of nuts, berries and alike.
Keep in mind, people just performed tasks by a natural progression and not because they were gender related or dominated. The male form was designed for speed and strength, while the female form was designed to “go the distance” when necessary and provide the reproductive environment for the continuation of the species during the hard times (more body fat).
I think I worded that without offending any one in the “NOW” camp. Like it or not, each “sex” has functional tools about their physical assignment that not only define their “sex” but also because of hormones during the early stages of development, bone structure, position of the eyes, pore size and other attributes are specific to that “sex.”
Any anthropologist can explain the difference in bone structure, position etc, as a basic anatomy student should have some experience with this as well. There is software today used by law enforcement that aids in putting together a composite sketch of an individual and it is broken up in to the two “sexes” for want of a better description.
So, men do “sweat” more than women about the face for a good reason. There are more “sweat glands” in the male face to push the dirt away that would collect there considering the outdoor assignments that the man would handle. The facial hair keeps the face clear of debris and the skin warm in the winter. Also, it became a simple means from a distance to determine the “sex” of the individual. Typically, the male of the species was the warrior and it would be good to know if such an individual was armed and coming at you for self-defense purposes.
Sometimes, we forget that we are still rather primitive biologically. Some men forget this and beat and badger their spouse. We forget that 9/10 reported violent acts are men committed on women. We forget that no matter how you feel on the inside, your external presentation was pre-determined at inception.
So, men do sweat more in proportion to their body size in comparison to a women of equal height and weight. Women perspire under and about the breasts because they are just one big gland that was designed to help the woman rid her self of heat build-up. Besides being mammary glands producing life sustaining milk for infants, they perform hormone tasks as well in helping to regulate the metabolic rate along with the pituitary gland and thyroid. Also the breasts of a women and the prostate of a man for through more rigorus cell exchange and therefore, statistically, have more of a chance of an error occuring, creating a cancel-like cell in that area of the body. Evrything about is is really rather mathematical and organized around a good engineering plan.
Frankly, if we did not place so much sexual emphasis about a woman’s breasts, as in Africa, women would not feel a need to cover them up and be so hot in the summer. Think about it! We are still tribal, just perhaps modern tribal. Here in the USA, we are more puritanical than our European breathern. Since we wear clothing to protect ourselves from the elements, we decided many centuries ago to make the most of it and express ourselves as defined “sexes.” Here we decided over the ages to make clothing “hard and soft.” Most cultures made clothing that would help one identify with the “sex” of the individual.
Male CD’s can make the choice of wearing a bra or not. Walking around with their shirt on or off. Women are still not afforded that right in modern western culture, although, they can just about manage it at the public beaches these days. There really is a lot more to be explained and examined when the question of male and female is brought up. We often try to make it simple, when really, what we do and why we do it is most often very complicated below the surface.
In Florida it too is 90f deg, and 100% humidity so I wear a very light stretch bra that is feather light with no forms. No, I am like a plywood surface unfortunately, but I just like feeling constricted sometimes. I suppose just like any women that is relatively small in that department, I have read they can go either way. They choose a blouse etc that offsets this condition and just be themselves. After all girls, breasts are just "boobs", the real mature experienced women knows this and is proud of herself as a thinking person first.
In closing, male CD's "try" to be women, [gg] "women" do not have to try.! There really is a difference. It is in the "trying part" that I have discovered there is a "curtain" that I will never cross through.
