Tomorrow night (Sat) my DH and I are going on our first dressed outing. Dinner and cards at another CD couples home.
My husband has never been out of the house dressed so of course neither have I, nor have I ever seen another CD dressed before (well that I know of anyway!)
I will drive the 45 min to the friends home, so no worry about being stopped.
He is extreemly excited about this trip out. I am fine with it all and the couple we will be going to are friendly and we get along great.
So send some positive thoughts our way for all the little things to go right and that we will have a great evening.

Honey,
Your thoughts seem so positive already.
All I can say is? What is the worst that can happen? I mean other than a few awkward moments at first perhaps. All I can say is that my experience meeting another crossdresser was great. I think getting to meet others like yourselves will be incredibly uplifting.
Also, as a side note and for personal entertainment, I would be very interested to see if they still eat like men, or if they eat ladylike? No tipping DH off, just watch. *lol*
I think I hear a twinge of excitement in your post that perhaps you are not letting on. Have fun with it. What else is there? Then come back and tell us all about it, unless of course something bad happens and they take your birthday away.
Love always,
Elizabeth

Hi Honey,
As Elizabeth says, all will be fine. A few butterflies are quite nice once in a while anyway, I hope you both have a wonderful time.
A little thought.....if you all have a good smile, a good laugh, a bit of fun, then that will help create a relaxing atmosphere.
Enjoy yourselves, ~D~ and myself will be thinking of you both
Love

Honey, we can share butterflies!! I am going to my first CD meeting Saturday, but I am going single! I think right now I am more concerned about what I am going to wear more so than meeting some new sisters, I am sure that will come the closer the time gets to driving over there!
Actually I am very excited about the whole thing. It will aslo sevre as a "dress rehersal" for the SCC in Atlanta.
Good luck and you will be in my thoughts as well!

Honey,
All of you are going to have a really good time.
After your visit, will you and your friends schedule for them to visit, so you and your DH can experience being hostesses?

Good Morning to you all!
Well we had out first outing and a grand time was had by all!
other than running a bit late everything went off without a hitch.
It helped us all alot because we had met up several times (drab) before we went to the other couples home.
The original plan was for DH to dress at their home after we got there. But it worked out that one son was working and the other was spending the evening at our daughters. So let the dressing began. While I ran the 9 year old to DD's hubby got dressed. I did her makeup when I got back, fuss with the new long auburn wig and not we are really running late!
I drove and I really think we hardly got a glance. DH sat tall and proud during the 45 min drive. Got to the house and the husband met us at the door with a smile and we were all at ease. had a nice meal and played cards and chatted. I made a chocolate/chocolate desert, chocolate always help smooth the nerves.
DH drove home, we picked up the 9 year old, sans wig and DH turned all the lights off in the van!. WE turn onto our street and someone is having a huge party and there are people and cars all over the place!. I got son into bed and hubby walked into the front door again sans wig but without a doubt in womens clothes. No one said a word.
Both dressed casual, mine wore a denim skirt, yellow blouse/w flower print and sandles and of course all the undertrimmings. The other wore a print skirt/blouse and heels. One negative here though- while sitting in the living room the other CD does not keep her legs crossed or closed and I am being flashed by pink underware! So when you are dressed, sit like a lady with your legs together!
Someone asked if the 'girls' changed while dressed. Well no, their personalities were the same and both acted just like they do in drab. But mine knows how to sit like a lady! The only thing I noticed was that my husband usually drinks coffee with sweet/low and creamer and she was drinking it black>>>strange. By desert it was cream and sl. though!
Anyway we had a fine time and will be going for a second visit soon. Since we still have kids living at home, it will be a while before we can return the favor, dressed at least. WE deceided it was good to go to the other couples home and we will take turns fixing the meal. My turn next time, lasagna I think.
Thanks to you all for your positive support, it truly helps calm the fears and in the end it was all good.

Heeheee... I always thought as soon as you got in a dress you just know how to act, it comes natually surely! lol
Anyways... soglad it all went well! Really sounds cool, but what are the chances of that party being on when ya got home! That's the sort of thing that always happens isnt it lol
*hugs*
