A 'round table' for CDs, TGs and GG/SOs to talk with each other. We're all in this together, so let's make the most of it.

What have you done for your GF or Wife Today?

Post by Beauty »

Hi there,

I've read posts about our SOs giving us things and us being so incredibly thankful. So I thought I'd start this thread to see what we CD'rs have done for our very special ladies. :) No! Sex doesn't count! :) Well.. unless your SO wants to chime in and say that it counted. :)

Another reason for starting this thread is because of the feedback I've gotten from other SOs that kind of say we wear femme clothing, but they are starting to feel that this compassion for them isn't really real since all we do is obsess about reading more things online than giving them time or shopping more and forgetting them. So this thread will either sink or swim, but I'm also hoping it shows how much we do care and appreciate them. :)

It can be fixing the sink, reading with her, doing a hobby of hers with her, all the way to taking her on a vacation she's always wanted. It should just be something she wants to do and not something you want to do that she enjoys later. !!tongue!!

SOs can respond and post things their SO did too.

Ok..So I'll start.

Last night on my way home I decided to surprise my wife and take her out to a nice restaurant. I asked her was it this would fall under the doing something for her umbrella? She said not if I hadn't made her laugh and smile all evening. :) So unsecure me asked, "Did I make you smile and laugh all evening then?" and she replied with a big fat yes! :)
*-*
So? (borrowing from Jadeanne) What have you done for your special one today?

Well since my hubby is not the message board kind of gal, I will say what he has done for me this last week. We had a birthday party for CLeo's first b-day on Sat. We had about 21 people coming over and I basically went into super Martha (Stweard that is) mode cleaning baseboards, scrubbing anything and everything, freaking out over food and seating arrangements and basically fretting like an insane woman. THrough it all Amanda was helpful in keeping Cleo amused while I did this, and then to top it off, on Super Bowl Sunday suggested I go play tennis for a few hours to relax (I know, I must be nuts, that is how I blow off steam). Needless to say, it was not just one thing but just a series of things and he never complained or teased me once.

For putting up with me at my most freaked out I am thankful and love him so much.

hugs

Given my domestic situation, when we do come into contact, I treat her like the Goden Rule - do unto others as you wuld have them do unto you.
I treat her civilly, with respect, and move on!
Virginia
PS: should I get her something for Valentine's Day??????? seriously
(I know it would probably ensite her to make some catty comment, but don't let that stop you from a response)
First star to the right, then straight on 'till mornin!

Today is still young. I gave her a kiss early early this morning as she was going to work, then I got up a bit later to go swimming.

Stopped by the store on the way home from the pool and bought her some Olay shower wash with Shea Butter. She loves Shea butter products and I don't think she's heard of this one. We'll see if she likes it when I wash her back tonight. 8)

Last night she asked if we could go to Hampton early on Saturday the 26th for their quilt show. She wanted to volunteer at the show. I told her no problem.

In the past week, I've done her nails, given her a massage, loaned her my best lipstick when we were going out to eat (she doesn't normally wear any). Hmmm, she seems to being doing more fem things now. And took her to see the Fockers movie which I had no interest in, but it was pretty funny afterall. :)

Virginia, maybe a 'thinking of you' card. But don't get upset if she doesn't read it.

Today, I did the same thing I do everyday since I met her. Treate her with respect and caring and make sure I do anything and everything I can do to make her happy.

What will I do tomorrow? See above.

Hi all,

I've done nothing for my SO, today.

Then again, I don't have an SO. :-k

If I did, I'd prepare a February picnic, wrap her in the cushiest winter clothes, and take her up to the mountain to skate on the lake. We'd ice circles around each other in gracious figure eights. It's a gorgeous, sunny day, today.

If I had an SO.

Love,
CJ

Gave her a nice little manicure as she was drifting off to sleep. Tricky that.

My wife loves gardening so I have taken on a huge (in my way of thinking) landscaping project. Our lot is quite steep, not much is flat in BC and I have begun setting large flat stones that I can barely lift into the bank for steps. Most women are happy to receive chocolate, flowers or jewlery, my wife gets ecstatic when I find a suitable rock for a stair. This weekend we are going rock hunting (they are easy to catch) in our grubbiest clothes and I don't mind a bit. It's tough on the nails though!

Today started off just like every other day with a big hug and a kiss before I go to work. When I come home we both enjoy a glass of wine together and sit on the porch "weather permitting" and discuss the days events. Later in the evening we both bath together and I usually wash her back. We end up cuddling together as we drift off to sleep for the night. This is our daily routine and has been ever since we got hitched 28 years ago. My how the time flies!

This morning after breakfast, I dropped off my wife at one of the 2 churches where the choir sings and I had about 2 hours until I had to be down at our church.

I stayed off line and had Jade the Maid help catch up on the laundry, taking down the dried clothing in the cellar (getting to listen to the sound of my heels on the concrete floor), and bringing them up in a basket to put away.

I had the TV on while I worked in the bedroom, switching between Craft Corner Death match and QVC silver jewelry while folding and stowing lingerie and nighties and mating socks.

I changed from my maid outfit back into my boy clothes and made it to church on time.

Afterward, we went out for lunch at a not-crowded Chinese buffet, and after we returned home, my wife was pleasantly surprised when I showed her the laundry put away correctly.

Hi,

I took my wife on a date to the movies tonight. :) She called me from work and asked if we could go out. Afterwards she said she wasn't hungry so we just headed home.

Two days ago I cooked her dinner. That's not the norm for me at all! :)

Well as they say, what goes around comes around. Last weekend my wife painted my toenails, the first time she ever did that. Well I just finished returning the favour, she is going out to an all girl birthday party tonight (wish I could go) so I painted hers. I enjoyed doing hers far more than when she did mine.
