Kersten: Sad and Lonely

Post by Kersten Lee »

Hi Friends,

I was sad, lonely and over burdened. I skipped school tonight, after work, to be alone for awhile. I have been near to the edge of crying often today. I took a hot bath with vanila plum bath soap and still I was damp eyed. Put on polka dot panties with a black satin bow, short black party dress that I love and a pair of comfortable black pumps and still I was sad. My wife is not feeling well tonight and I came here.

I saw a post by Yasky(SO). Yasky is new to me. I opened and read to know her better. I cried, and now I feel better. Thinking of all the wonderful conversations with those who have become friends, I remember how I came here a lost, near dead soul and got life.

Yasky, forgive me for stealing your post, but I had to move it here. Your last line is what did me in. At the time when these first wonderful people responded to my pain with kindness, each one of them was the whole world to me! I love you all as family and that includes Shannon and Sharon!

Yasky's post........
I am relatively new to this forum, but from everything I've seen and responses I've received, I think this place is just GREAT!! I had belonged to another forum for SOs but found it extremely negative and totally UNhelpful. Responses to my queries about how to go about dealing with my CDing hubby were mostly "buck up and accept it". Those responses only sent me deeper into my spiral of uncertainties and discontent. I have to tell you, this forum is so totally different - I've found MUCH help and support and NO negativity whatsoever.

So...all that said, all I can say to Beauty, Sharon, and Shannon: Thank you; Thank you; Thank you!!!

Hi Kersten... I'm so glad you're back & posting again!! (--)

Every so often we need to allow ourselves a good cry. I believe that tears are the washwater of the soul.

Kersten Lee,

Hi, there - YASKY here! I am absolutely honored that something I'd said touched you - and how fortunate (for me) to know that. How often do we let others know when something they've done or said has touched us? Not often enough, that's for sure.

I sincerely hope you're feeling much better today - don't let sadness build up - LIVE!! Sometimes the best thing to do (I've found) is go to a tear-jerker movie and CRY, CRY, CRY - it can be terribly refreshing.

Take good care - and I do hope to get to know you better. I've found (nearly) everyone here absolutely wonderful and extremely supportive; as we all are of you now.

))ok((

Hi Kersten--
Sometimes there is no lonelier feeling than when you're coupled, and your SO is unable to give you any support, for whatever reason. I also hope that you're feeling much better as you read this post.

A strong wave of sadness hit me while I was on a job site the other day, and I was working alone. So I could cry hard for awhile until I felt better. It's very seldom I have enough privacy to feel like I can do that. If your mood comes again soon, I hope that you can do the same thing again--cry. It helps me, even if I don't know WHAT it's about.

Kersten,
Honey, you have come a long way and we are all proud of what you have accomplished thus far!!! You know we all have our ups and downs and the crying, the crying for a lot of us is really a great release. You know, they say that that is a major reason that GG's out live us! They are not afraid to cry, so being CD puts us even closer to that so even macho me has had a good cry more often than I care to share, but I sure feel better afterward!
God shed Her blessings on you sweetheart and let us know how you are doing!'
Love,
Virginia
