Hi Curly,
I never see a need for anyone to say they're sorry for expressing their feelings, after all, isn't this one of the prime reasons why we're here? for comfort, support of each other and in sharing our feelings and experiences we come to realise that we aren't so unique after all, as we may have once thought, we're all entitled to an off day now and again. We all at some time feel a bit low for varying reasons and it's healthy for the soul to be able to let out how we're feeling. When we're alone we can voice our feelings but it isn't as the same with no one to hear, so knowing that there are people who are going to read what we're saying and empathise with us is a release which hopefully makes us feel better.
Just knowing there are people out there who care is comforting. Even though the greater majority of us will never meet face to face, at least we can share that common bond here which brings us all together in a way which the general community can't understand. I hope Ed's home coming has lifted your spirits and the sun is shining warmly on the inside for you again. Whatever the problem was which caused your misery hopefully can be shared and in doing so it's then halved.
Keep smiling, I know some days are harder than others. I'm not trying to pre-empt the reasons for your low spirits, but I'm a firm believer that the more love there is in our lives then the more there is to spread around and love is somewhat of a funny thing because the only real way we can fill ourselves with love is by giving it away, if that makes sense. Being apart from the person we love most in our life for any length of time is also difficult and can play mind games with us. I think that many people need to be able to love themselves more but to achieve this they need to believe in themself and their worth more than maybe they do at times. It seems that some people think it's right to have everyone else but themselves believe they are worthwhile and capable. Some people find it difficult to put themselves first without feeling pretentious, but there are times when everyone has to put themselves first in order to be able to love themselves in the way they should. Sometimes we need to put ourself first in order to be able to help others. Sometimes the victim mentality creeps up on us before we're aware it's happening if our spirits get low, and the 'life only happens to me' thoughts creep into our brain. Life is a journey, including all the ups and downs we experience from time to time, but we all evolve from who we are, whether we think our feelings are appropriate or not that we should honour ourself from time to time. I think it's important that we should honour ourself now and again if we're to love ourself as we should and believe we can be the best we can possibly be. Also, to be able to accept ourself for who we are is the first step to loving ourself in a way so that only changes for the better in ourself and our life are possible.
My kindest regards and keep smiling.
Sally.
Watch nature, because it’s our greatest teacher, it moves and flows and moves on again. We can never be free until we disengage, so allow life to flow as you find it. The way it is, is the way it is.
