I was not sure where to put this - it is not really funny and there may be a token of truth to it: from Al Pacino in "The Devil's Advocate"
" Love is overrated. Biochemically no different than eating large quantities of chocolate."

I guess this is a good of a place as any?

rotf What a funny quote. :) I know you said it's not funny, but to me it is simplistically super funny.

"Love is overrated . . . equal to large quantities of chocolate" ???

Hmmm, let's see. I love 'love' - it's a great source of comfort and joy. But wait a minute, I love chocolate, and it, too, is a great source of comfort and joy!! Curly's right, I've never gained weight from having too much love, either. Hmmm, choices - what to do, what to do?

Okay, here's my proposal: It seems to me that being in love with the right person can lead to some 'atomic loving', as a friend of mine calls it. So, pass me the chocolate and I'll work off any weight gain with the 'right person'! Another win-win situation!!

Hmmm,
being on the other side of the love/chocolate-fence just now:
I have lots more of chocolate right now (as always) and I would never give it up for any love :) – why if you can have both (still/again hoping).
It is like being TGed, it doesn't go. Maybe CD is actually an acronym for C-hocolate D-? (any suggestion?).
I can eat as much as I want, chocolate, pasta (real one, al dente). But nothing works, the ounces and grams do not grow on me, :-k and I could need a couple more ... straindsh wurld :)

Best

Hey Virginia,

It's true. Having sexx with another person and eating chocolate cause our bodies to produce a hormone that causes us to have feelings of love. That is why so many lonely people are also addicted to chocolate. I heard this a very long time ago so I don't have a reference to send you to it and I can not prove it is true, but I do remember hearing it from a good source.

Love always,
Elizabeth

hi chocolate afficionados

I can only recommend Sandra Boynton's book "Chocolate – A Consuming Passion".

Some quotes are collected here

Nah, too much of a rush, I'd think.
