Reversal

Post by Lisa(SO) »

I am not quite sure where to write this post. I hope that this is sufficient. I have been doing research on reversals of tubal ligations and the success rates. If anyone has had any experience of any kind please feel free to post here or PM me. Is In Vitro a better option?

Thank you so much

Hi, Lisa -

I know when I had my Tubal Ligation in 2005 my OB/GYN said that it *is* possible to have a reversal, but there were no guarantees. I would think that since your TL is fairly recent - I presume you had it done right after Molly was born? - there should be a greater success rate as the scar tissue has not had time to really form yet. What does your doctor recommend?

I wish you luck, and I'm glad that you are on the road to healing.

I'm totally out of my element here but one of the gals at work was just telling me that her daughter is pregnant and that she had a TL a few years ago!! I'll ask if it's ok to talk to Debbie and find out what exactly happened! I'll let you know.

The reason for asking is Wayne's 52  and I am 35. Part of me thinks IVF may be a better option.

I agree with you Lisa but I'll still check it out if you want me to. IVF is safer and the liklihood of success far greater!

Love you sweetie,

True, IVF is safer - but be prepared for multiple births! More often than not IVF results in triplets, quads, quintuplets, etc.

Whichever you decide, Lisa, we wish you success and we're here for you!!

Stormy can you please check it out?

SL- I have thought about the multiple thing....I go back and forth. i have done research and we can go to Argentina and have either option done for around $5000.00 which includes airfare for both of us, 21 day stay, and all the required tests and procedures. Hey if it does not work we had a nice vacation.
