Hi -- I'm going to be 67 in May. I'm very active but not working, except for volunteering in a community organization. I miss a busy social life and a business life. So I create my own. I can be anybody I want in my life at home.

I feel for your dad. It's just easier to allow yourself to be a woman for me. I'm not big on nails but I love soft clothes. I make them on my vintage sewing machine. I don't have to find a 2XL Joe Boxer jersey to be comfortable, I can make something more elaborate.

Your dad has time, probably loves his sleep when needed but what about the rest of the day? Watch the Twins, Oprha or Vikings on t.v.? I'll take dressing over that anytime. Good luck. You come from good places.

Dear Robbin,

It sounds like you have a pretty good attitude. I don't know how often or where my father finds it comfortable to dress up. I hope that he has a few supportive friends. Our relationship hasn't changed much but we don't seem to talk as often and that bothers me. It took me a long time to finally "come out" to him, so I don't know if he can or will come out to me. But thanks for the support. My dad's a little too old-fashioned to be on the computer but if I could get him to this site, I'd want him to see how your lives are lived. Thanks, James
