Good point, and it is a concern. Things are pretty fragile right now, and I don't want to hurt her. I did like Love (SO)'s suggestions that we (I) take "baby steps" first. You are right, I don't want to overwhelm her with information she isn't ready for, and I will be taking a look at the SO's posts, as well. She has been pretty open so far, but I know she's feeling frightened and betrayed. I want to make things easier for her, not more difficult. And, Love (SO), your suggestion that we both write down a list of our concerns before the first session makes a lot of sense. I've been struggling to define the issues myself over the past few days, and it's not easy. My cross dressing is not the only one. As Hamlet's mother observes, "When troubles come, they come not as single spies, but in whole battalions." Something down on paper ahead of time would be a good idea. I'm thinking I also want to put down some of the positive things in our relationship, too: what it was that first attracted us to each other, or at least attracted me to her, some of the things I think we still have, and some sense of what I would like our "ideal" relationship would be like. (Caring, accepting, honest, intimate, comfortable...you get the idea.)

Anyway, thanks again--to all of you. I look forward to hearing about your experiences. Enough about me already.

love,
karen

Congratulations On Your Release

Hello Jessica_Karen,

Your story touched me as I was testing the board controls with my vintage P120.

It seems to me that events unfold in our lives as they must for our own benefit.

Best of luck as you navigate the road ahead.
