Hello, I'm Celeste (Cel since there's another Celeste here) and I've been actively CD'ing since about age 7. I want to share my story with you but it takes a lot of courage to do so, and in the process I "wake up lots of ghosts." I have done this several times in corresponding with others only to learn they didn't really care and it's so hard for me to do. Lots of tears come with remembering things I'd just as soon forget.
I'm older with a Julia Child figure and couldn't pass if I were kidnapped and held for a month in a Revlon factory (or Clinique for that matter). I'm married for the 3rd time to a wonderful lady who puts up with a lot. I'm not sure she's so enthralled about my dressing but she tolerates. I try never to be a competing female with her.
I'm older and still remember with wonder those exciting tubes that the real latex Playtex girdles came in. I think at the time I was wearing a Maidenform Chansonette bra, if any of you remember them. I wear a 44B now with very little necessity for padding and carry a number of pounds that I should work at losing. I lost some weight this winter but strangely, not in my bustline.
Sorry, didn't mean to ramble on. Thanks for being here.

Hi, Celly,
I have a number of ghosts of my own that I have been working to defeat.
Many of us can understand some of your feelings. I have only been
treated with caring and respect by the wonderful people here. I am sure it
will be the same for you.
Hope you visit often,

Hi Celly,
Most of us here probably have similar ghosts. Welcome.

I believe you will find many friends here.

Hi Cel,
Welcome to the board!

Please, by all means, feel free to post your story in the "Beginnings" section; you're among caring and open people here.
The more difficult aspect of our "self-work" is knowing which ghosts to vanquish and which to embrace. With the help of others, such as, e.g., the wonderful gals you'll find on this forum, that task is made slightly easier.
I hope to hear more from you soon.
Love,
CJ

Welcome Girl,
Cel, you don't have to worry. We all have ghosts haunting our past. What I try to do is reflect on what happened and learn from that. (I don't want to make the same mistake twice!) Painful memories are difficult to deal with, but they are in the past. We cannot change that. (At least not until someone perfects time travel

) Me, personally, I still look back on things, but I don't let that stuff affect the "me" of today.
If this doesn't make any sense to you, then forgive the "babbling broad" as I tend to run on incessantly.
Hugs, and I hope you like the forum.

Welcome Celly,
I've been crossdressing since I was 11. I can tell you that when the day comes that you realize you have defeated your ghosts, you will say it was well worth the battle.
Read my very long "beginnings" post - if you dare. You'll learn of my ghosts, if you don't die of old age first reading the log post. Yes, it took courage. Anything worth doing is worth your best effort.
Hugs,
Bernice
