Hello everyone, my name is Lacey (for now). I just recently came out to my SO, and it went really well.
I have been dressing since my early childhood, and have lived through to many years of self shame and inner conflict to continue hiding this part of myself. So I choose to start this journey by being open with her (no more lying by omission).
She is a very accepting and open minded girl. I chose to share this part of myself with her, in order to gain a deeper relationship with her and myself.
We are both learning who Lacey is, and we each understand that honesty and being open with each other is an important part of a good relationship.
I am hoping that through education, experimentation, and plain old trial and error, me and my SO will come to a healthy balance that is good for us both.

I am simply very excited to be doing this (finally), and hope to become the best person I can be.

Sincerely yours; Lacey(CD) :)

Hi Lacey, welcome :)

You (and I) have a great advantage being able to be open and accepted by our SO's. It's a difficult enough journey without having to hide from your loved one.

It took three years 2005-2008 for my wife to accept me. Now she not only accepts me but supports me too. We go out together with me fully dressed and she even has joined my Tri-Ess chapter.
So welcome to the forum and glad your wife is OK with your fem side.

Delighted to meet you, Lacey. You've chosen a lovely name, even if you aren't sure it fits just yet.

I'm very glad to hear your initial conversations with your SO have gone well. Of course by some standards all that means is she hasn't announced she never wants to see you again, but from the sounds of things it's substantially better than that! I also have a very supportive SO but you'll have to keep in mind that some things will be easier for her than others. Keep those lines of communication open so you know when she's uncomfortable and can talk to her about it.

Being open and honest with her is a huge step forward. If you can do the same with yourself (and being here is a pretty good sign, I think) you'll have taken the most important first steps. Now buckle in and enjoy the journey! There are lots of wonderful ladies here who are more than willing to share their experiences or just lend a sympathetic ear. Doubtless you'll be feeling right at home in no time.
