Today, I celebrate the 12th anniversary of my 29th birthday. So now is as good time as any to introduce myself.

I am LauraK, a crossdresser from the Philadelphia suburbs. It has taken me many years of guilt, doubt, depression, purging and binging (say it isn't so #-o ) to come to that realization. After all that, I finally realized that I do not want to be a woman and I don't think I am gay or bi. I just really enjoy the look and feeling of femininity from time to time.

Just over a week ago, I told my wife about my crossdressing. She is still very unsure about it and has lots of questions for me, which I am trying to answer as best as possible. I have reassured her that there is no one else in the entire world I would want to be with or have intimacy with than her, but she still has concerns, which are completely understandable.

I look forward to many years of chatting and "gurl talk". :)

Welcome to the forum and remember to take baby steps in your new relationship with your wife. It may take a while, so be patient. It took my wife three years to fully accept me. We now go out together with me fully dressed and she even joined the TG group I belong to.

Hi, Laura, and welcome to the Forum! Your wife is encouraged to join the forum, also . . . I know she'll greatly benefit from being able to 'meet' the other SO's (and CD's), and asking questions of us, too.

Just remember our motto: Baby steps, honey . . . baby steps!!

Hi Laura and welcome. Happy 12A/29B. ^@^
After all that, I finally realized that I do not want to be a woman and I don't think I am gay or bi. I just really enjoy the look and feeling of femininity from time to time.
Hey, you sound pretty normal to me, =D> so you should feel right at home here. Look forward to your contributions and hope you can convince your lovely wife to join us too.

Hi Laura--
Welcome to the forum, dear. You and your wife have some adventure ahead of you; I hope you can approach it in that spirit most of the time.

Hi Laura,

Welcome to the forum! 8) I hope you'll enjoy yourself here and that your "self-revelation" to your wife will lead the two of you to develop stronger bonds. As others have said, there's room for your Missus here, too. Regardless, I'm looking forward to hearing more from you.

Love,
CJ
