I can't believe how much I miss that part of the continent. Must go back some day soon.

Welcome, Rebecca! I know there are a few girls from Washington around here but most of the others aren't in the Seattle metro area. As for me? I'm nestled comfortably on the East side of Lake Washington.
Glad you found the forum. I'm sure you'll find plenty of kindred spirits here and will feel right at home in no time.

Susan, In my daily commute , I see enough Mini Coopers with Union Jacks on the roof, and enough Scottish Lion bumper stickers to ensure that we New Englanders have not forgotten our British roots.
I used to hang with celtic musicians, and they would constantly remind me that America, like England, is a former colony of Scotland.
