Not sure what to say just yet.

I've dressed in girl's clothing since age 4, and wanted to be a girl since then.

My childhood was full of abuse and neglect, which may explain some things.

I have a wife and three sons. My wife knows about my issues and is having trouble with it. My sons know nothing about it.

My youngest son (6) for three years has expressed a desire to be a girl, which makes me wonder about genetics.

Your wife (SO) is more than welcome to join the Forum, too . . . she'll receive a lot of help and understanding from both the GG/SO's and the other CD's, too, even if all she does is read the many posts.

I wonder about genetics as well. One uncle was a CDer, aunt was a lesbian and had suspicions about my father. My kids haven't shown any traits as yet. Anyway, welcome.

Welcome, Melody. You have a unique perspective, with your son, in that you have walked the walk. Don't let anxiety overwhelm you, and remember that his generation is not as uptight about these issues as ours was, and you will do fine.
