I"m new to forums so I'll just give the basics and hope for the best. I have been dressing to various stages for 50 years. My wife of 36 years found out as I lost more inhibitions. She has now ( after years of unhappily putting up with my "hobby") said she will not give me an O.K. to do anything even if she is not around. It was in the form of a don't ask don't tell. I told her that it wasn't fair. How do you cope with this?

Hi Charlie, -wel- to the forum.

When my wife was one one of those phases, I simply hid it from her.

Her last ultimatum of no dressing came on our 30th wedding anniversary. I told her it was never going back in the closet again.

Hi, Charlie, and welcome to the Forum!

Remind your wife (SO) that marriage is a partnership, not a dictatorship. It sounds like your wife has become a dictator (most likely due to fear of the unknown - not knowing where your femme side is going to take you), and if you acquiese now, you'll never change the status quo. [-(

Compromise must be reached, with equal give-and-take from both parties. I recommend some heart-to-heart talks, where both of you are actually talking with each other and not to each other.

Our motto here is: Baby Steps, Honey; Baby Steps!

Good luck, and Go, Maize and Blue . . . yep, I'm a Native Michiganian (from Warren, actually)!! =D>
