Hi everyone,

Let me introduce myself, I am a self-employed Computer Consultant in my mid 60’s and live on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. My wife and I have been together for 28 years and married for the last 17 years. I have been CDing (in the closet) off and on since I was about 12 years old and have purged many times but the urge has never gone away. This last year the urge has been stronger than ever before and the guilt and shame of hiding things from my wife finally got the best of me and gave me the courage to come out to her. It was difficult and I was not sure what would happen, she was very upset and scared but our love for each other prevailed. She told me that she accepted my CDing but preferred that I did not flaunt it in front of her.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone on this site.

Your wife (SO) is welcome and encouraged to join our little sorority. I know she'll benefit by being able to chat with others, and she can do so in a section that is strictly off-limits to the CD's if that is what she would prefer.

Your wife's attitude seems very like my wife's in that she tolerates Susan but objects to seeing anything to do with her. We have just passed our 24th wedding anniversary and this attitude shows no signs of mellowing.

I want to thank everyone for such a nice welcome, I think I am going to really like it here. I am a little slow to get going but I usually open up fairly quickly and become such a Chatty Kathy (boy am I dating myself), I wish I had one now, have you seen what the price that collectors are asking (over $200.00 dollars and that is used). It is nice to have people to talk to that I don’t have to be anxious about what I say regarding my CDing.
