Hi

I have been hiding in the closet for many years. I suspected my wife found some of my "special" things, and I finally worked up enough courage to come out to her about a year ago. It went o.k. we are working things out.

It is soooo nice to know I am not alone anymore.

Thank all of You for posting words of encouragement here. It has helped me in many ways.

Hello, DoryLynn, welcome to our little corner of the web. You are definitely not alone. Many of us here have been married for many years. Our spouses have found out anywhere from "right from the start " to "Today". We're all in one end or the other of the same boat.

Welcome DoryLinn,

We look forward to your sharing with us and please ask your wife to join and participate. I think she will find a lot of our GG's can help her if she is struggling for acceptance. I know that my sisters and myself also enjoy the views of our GG' here as well.

Hi Virgina,
I'm DoryLinn's wife. I have known for over a year now. I have tried to accept this whole thing but truly at this point can not. I am a Christ believer and truly believe in what has been written in the Bible. I don't believe in what DoryLinn says is Fire Insurance "Grace" to cover sins that people just accept and don't talk to the Lord about. I am struggling!!! I love my husband and want a husband not a girl friend. Help please.

Hi, DoryLinn and Kathy -

Kathy, I really think that you should join the forum, and let us help you to the extent that we non-professionals are able.

We do have a lot of GG's (Genetic Girls) here, and their acceptance and participation varies greatly. You will be able to post and chat with everyone here, from the CD to the SO, without pressure. You would also be able to chat with the GG's in our private section, where the CDs are not given access.

You will need to register with your own user name, making sure to put the "SO" behind your name in one form or another, and when you register please make sure that you do not share your password with DoryLinn. http://crossdressers-haven.com/forums/v ... php?t=4640 .

We look forward to your registration and future participation!

Hi Kathy,

Please note that there is only one single mention in the Bible, in the Old Testament, with regard to cross dressing. Deuteronomy 22 v 5

We have discussed that in another thread, which is "hot topics", and not open for all to read.

Note that the writings in Deuteronomy were Hebrew Law. Written by Moses, apparently, to keep his people in line. With Christ's coming and Crucifixion, the Old Laws were replaced by the New Laws, the New Testament.

Back to Deuteronomy 22 v 5, if you look at verses 1-4 and 6-8 you'll find passages meant to guide people in the helping of others, to prevent and do no harm.

Verse 5 is clearly out of place here. A clear indication that the translation is inaccurate.

Even though scholars have gone back and re-translated it, there has been no correction in any Bible. I wonder why that is? Why do so many want for this translation to be true?

The actual translation reads: “A (woman or weak/frail man) shall not be made to put on the weapons/armor of a warrior, neither shall a warrior wear the robes of a (weak/frail man or woman), for all that do so are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.”

Moses, when writing Deut 22:5, was quite intentionally not talking about a man in general, but a very specific kind of man – namely, "gerber" meaning - a warrior or soldier.

And it is doubtful that Moses was referring to women, but the Hebrew word "ishshaw" was used to mean - frail, feeble or woman." It may never be understood why the people who put the bible together decided to refer to women only.

However, Deut 22:5 seems to be a clear directive that the strong are not to cause the weak harm, and are not to hide from their duties. Which fits better with verses 1-4 and 6-8.

DonnaT,
Thank you for your knowledge and facts in regards to the Bible. I've been looking for facts not "I believe" or "I think" answers. You provided that for me. Now I can go back and study it with more understanding and knowledge.
Thank You again.

Kathy,
my wife is also not accepting but for other reasons. Her lack of acceptance has put a hugh strain on our 30+ yr marriage. Also being a follower of Jesus Christ, I ask Would Jesus turn his back on a CD er or would he just ask if they had accepted Jesus as their savior.
