Hi; I just thought I'd post. Talking about this is strange for me. I've been doing this on and off since I was about six or seven. Never understood why, really don't even now. Time has given me perspective but not real answers. I was forced as a child to dress up for my cousin and her freinds. The truth is I have no real evidence, that this happened, however nightmares which have followed me for years led me to the possible reality of this claim. In any event I have come too enjoy the feel of nylons on my legs, and the sway as I walk in high heels. I have no regrets about the path which has lead me here, I'm just me.

Hugs Lea and

,
Well hon you have come to the best place on the internet for friends and help if need be. You bring up the age old question of "why",

well if and when anyone figures it out I would also like to know.
In the mean time enjoy all your new friends

Lea,
It is so nice to see someone from my hometown! I was born in Pgh and raised just 15 mile SE in McKeesport PA. This is a real joy for me to have those nylons & heels on too!
Sweetness and Love,

Even though they rarely woke me up, I can vaguely recall having many Crossdressing nightmares. Although by my adult standards those are funny innuendos and not nightmares at all.
Also, welcome to the forum.

Time has given me perspective but not real answers.
Welcome to the club. Judging from my experience, and from what I've read on this site and others, you will never know exactly why you crossdress. I've been through lots of self examination, lots of therapy in earlier times. I don't know if there was a historical reason to cause you to crossdress. I'm pretty certain that there was no historical reason that caused me to crossdress . I have been aware of the urge, from the very time I was aware of myself as a person.
I could go on for a long time about traditional religion and psychology, about power, sociological assumptions and politics, but for me it just comes down to this: If women are not inherently inferior to men, then why should it be shameful for a man to dress as a woman, or assume a woman's role?
