Thank you for the warm welcomes!!! My husband has been crossdressing for many years but i just found out about a year ago. This is our second marriage for both of us, been married about 6 years. First time I found out, I flipped out, was hurt, angry, felt betrayed etc. he promised me he would stop so I let it go. Then several months later he was caught again, this time I decided to do some research and try to understand CD and to try to accept it, we are communicating more and I have set boundaries which i hope will be kept. It's like a compromise, I still want my "manly husband" when we go out socially, and also other times at home but I am willing to let him CD on occasion. He is now in a much better mood and I'm sure that part of that is from not having the guilt and the fear of hiding. He seems to be more than happy with this part-time arrangement, I guess only time will tell...

Bless you for your compassion and for being open to trying to learn!
It just will not go away, as I have tried to deny it for 60 years. We are what we are.
Your husband is welcome here, as well!

Don't ask me why I dress, I do not know. This has been a part of me since preschool days. Susan takes a lot of stress off us. I can take an hour or more making up and I feel a lot more relaxed after it. I know men are not supposed to feel like this. But women enjoy it so why should not men. I am lucky in this. I have no torso hair so for any who like hirsuteness in a man then don't look at me. My life has had a lot more nurturing than aggression in it.
I am not a stereotype. I function very well in the male domain but I can also play the female role too. I enjoy both but Susan helps me unwind. I am the father of two grown up children. I am normally heterosexual which sometimes throws men who approach me when I go out. I am 100% loyal to my wife (we are fast approaching our silver (25th) anniversary). I find I get on very well with women I know who know about Susan. I am no threat to them in any way and I can talk about foundation, mascara etc with them which I think they find funny.
I do not care, I hurt no one in this and I enjoy this more than watching TV.
I hope this helps you understand me.
Happy Christmas to you and yours.

Hi Shari and

This is a complex area for all of us, but when the guilt and furtivness goes it does become easier. I think all of us who cross dress have had several periods of shame, and have purged our collections, and have always come back. Generally this is not a lifestyle choice but a compulsion. I am sure that as you use this forum you will find all you want to know, and a great deal of support from other SO as well.

Merry Christmas Shari,
I have been married 47 years now and my wife loves it, I think she is just so used to seeing me dress it's normal.
Now I will tell you this, a crossdresser makes and outstanding girlfriend and a loving husband. Just think about all the new things you two can talk about, styles mix and match.
Have fun and enjoy his fem side
