Hi, my name is Sara. I've been cross-dressing my whole life and in secret for the 9 years of marriage. I just came out to my wife last week after years of guilt and fear. To my delight she is 100% supportive. She even went as far to help me shave my legs for the 1st time and do my make up. We spent the morning shopping and trying on clothes. I'm really excited about my new life and even more to be able to share this with the women I love dearly. I came across your board the other night and found a TON of great tips and discussions. I look forward in being an active member for a long time!

Glad it went way better than expected. Just remember to pace it all. Now that you're out, you have plenty of time to experience everything.

Again, congrats!

Hi, Sara, and welcome to the Forum!

Just remember our Motto here: Baby steps, honey. Baby steps.

The baby steps apply to both of you . . . and watch out for the Pink Fog . . . it's been known to blindside many a CD/TG!!

Hi Sara--
Welcome to the forum! I'm glad your wife to it well on first disclosure. Do go slowly, as people find their reactions can go up and down in the months afterward.

Hi Sara

Welcome to the forum. I am glad your wife reacted so well. Alas mine went the other way when I told her, she still ended up marrying me so I must have some other things she liked.

You will find a number of girls here from your area and I know they now meet when they can.

I will leave it to them to introduce themselves as I know they will.

Best wishes

Thanks for all the advice I agree 100%! While Sara has been part of me my entire life, I love my wife deeply, she'll always be 1st. I don't want to jeopardize anything with her. When she took me shopping dressed we spent a couple hundred $'s, all on her. I couldn't ask for anything, I wanted it to be for her. It is just great not living with the grief and humility in my heart and I think me coming clean has fixed a lot of intimacy issues I had but was never aware of until now when they're gone.

Thanks again to all you for the warm welcome and I look forward to talking to all you!

Welcome, Sara!

This is a great place to share, learn, and explore your feelings on the subject. I'm delighted to hear that you've had a positive initial reception and hope that you and your wife are able to keep the communication lines open. Your wife is also welcome (even encouraged!) to join.

Others have already mentioned it, but I'd echo the sentiment: enjoy yourself but keep your eyes open and remember to talk to your wife about her feelings on the subject regularly. Even if she has every intention of being supportive and positive there are still some complicated emotions involved and these can evolve over time.

All the best, and welcome to your new home away from home.

Sara,

I am so happy for you to have such a an awesome wife to share your experience with! I wish I were in your position but sadly I have not had the courage to let my spouse know who she really married. It is right there at the surface, we have skirted all around it, but never came right out and stated the facts. I'm proud that you did! It gives me hope too!

Hugs,
KenetaO

Sara,

-wel-

So, nice to meet you! My wife is also very accepting and it's nice hear that yours is too! The trick part is watching that you don't push. As it was said before Baby steps! :)

But don't forget to enjoy yourself! Shopping trips can be sooo much fun! My wife and I have amassed such a collection of make up that we've had to put it into a large tackle box!!!
