I am new to this site and I must say it is very refreshing to see all the positiveness and acceptance here. The other places I have visited have been so polluted by negativity I was almost ready to give up.

Thanks to everyone who has given me such a warm welcome. I would like very much for my Maria to join in with this forum but he is hesitant. I would like Maria to have a safe place to ask his questions of other CDs; questions maybe that I don't want to be a part of. I think he has alot to explore on his own. I don't want to stand in the way of his growth if there might be something more than sex lurking beneath the surface.
We had joined another forum and I think it was really the wrong one for us. I reacted badly to a couple of posts (his was one of them) and maybe with this one having separate areas for CDs and SOs, along with the positive attitude of everyone, this could be a place we could grow.

Seriously, Maria, you're more than welcome to join us. You certainly wouldn't be the first to hesitate and be not a little shy. Just take your time. Lurk, if you must, for a few days, in order to get a feeling for the place. The people here are very friendly and respectful and supportive of each other. The site is a great place to get info, to share experiences, and to engage in any old gabbing. There's an awesome sense of community, here, and it's made a big difference in a lot of people's lives.
