I have been looking for this forum for a long time. All of the others either crumble in hate, or don't address the deeper issues associated with my CDing that I want to talk about.

This place is intelligent, thoughtful and insightful. I am a life long CDer. Have tried to quit several times, but to no avail. I must admit as I approached 40, and stopped trying to quit doing it, then the pressure valve seemed to release and I am finding balance. I now do it when I want to do it, not when it wants me. I still find myself thinking about it more than anything else though.
Married 5 years with a supportive wife who knew about it before we got married. In fact I tried to talk her out of marriage, said she did not know what she was in for. We have managed to make it work, although I am still improving my communication and expression skills where this is concerned. I look forward to posting here.

Good to know you told your wife before marriage, and that she accepted you anyway. Congratulations on your honesty and finding a supportive wife.

We do have an area for deep discussions that involve religion and current events. We tried to incorporate it into the forum, but it blew up in our faces. It takes 30 days of being on the forum before you can request access to it.

to our forum! It´s good to hear that you and your wife didn´t quit when you had to deal with your CDing. Like you said it usually takes a lot of work but it can be done if you both are motivated.
