Well here I am, joining this forum is a turning point in my life. I have been dressing for as far back as I can remember, but have always kept it hidden. My mom tells me that the whole time she was carrying me she swore I was a girl and everyone told her that she was going to have a girl (I guess they weren't wrong). She brought me home in girl clothes and put me in a girly room, I guess I was doomed. All through my life I tried my best to supress the urges I felt. I always had a pretty girl on my arm (or in my bed) and although I wasn't into the sports thing I did my best to be the tough, bad James Dean kinda guy. I joined the Army right after high school and spent an illustrious twelve years as a chpper pilot in the famous 1st Cavalry Division, I stayed active in the Army till this day. I married when I was 21 and I am still married to the same woman whom I love very much. All during my life I would dress up whenever I had the opportunity, but I kept it well hidden. Except for a few times when I would play around with my wife she had no clue about how I felt. I am now fifty years old and to make a long story short the urges and female feelings have been getting stronger and stronger to the point that over the last two years I was being overwhelmed with a multitude of emotions. The past six months or so were driving me crazy, I was becoming depressed from the feeling that there really was a woman inside of me and she wanted out. It was effecting my life and my relationship with my wife. I finally decided to have the talk with her this past weekend and after my whole speech her response was "is that it, I thought you were having an affair. She took it very well but she said she would take it slow and that she wasn't sure about what she should do to help me. Well on Monday she told me she would be late from work but to my surprise she came home her normal time, when I asked what was up she said I had to come with her. We stopped for a quick bite to eat and she took me to our local Kohls where she bought me a silky set of lounging pajamas, a cute fluffy robe and two pair of body shapeing underwear. WOW, my first set of my own clothing. I really love that girl. I'm sorry for rambling and I thank you all for listening, this is the first time I have ever written out my thoughts. I feel that I have benn reborn and I see the world through different eyes. I look forward to building a relationship with the members here and hope that both my wife and I can find advice and new friends.
Love,
Gerri

Hi Gerri, -wel- aboard.

Good to hear your wife has taken things well so far. Slow and easy gets the prize, however. If she'd like, she could join in here as well. We have a special section that only the SOs can read and post in, and they are more than welcome to participate in all the areas of the forum.

So, is the 1st Cavalry still in Ft. Hood? I rode with some of their Huey pilots when I was there in the 70's, but I was in the 2nd Armored Div. Enjoyed the ride over and through the trees.

WElcome! I am also new to this site. I do have a piece of advice for you. Communication is key with your wife right now. You are very fortunate that she is so understanding, make sure she knows this. This can be a roller coaster ride for some. As a SO to a wonderful CD, there are still ups and downs. THere is a lot of wonderful support for the both of you out there. I look forward to your wife joining.

Congrats also on being able to finally be yourself. It is such a wonderful feeling!!

Lisa

Hi Gerri
And hi to all the others I've missed with a welcome...been so busy with family probs. But, wow! All these Joisey gals!! Ex-NJ here, and I know the Barnegat and Ocean county area well. People say Fla is flat..well...they haven't flown over South Jersey.....main difference is we have palm trees instead of pines. Plus we have the main Mouse, NJ has the Devil.
Gerri, lots of us are like you, but you're fortunate to have a SO who sorta understands. Maybe a good next move would be to join a Triess type group, I see there is one in Trenton. I have dressed all my life also, but it wasn't til I joined a group that i finally felt more, ummm, ok. Triess welcomes wives with open arms and I've met some very nice ones at meetings (some not so nice, but...).
Also, I had a fully paid, year long vacation in an exotic SE Asian country where I also flew hueys. And later all over stateside...sometimes you have to wonder if your copilot....hmmm. Heres a link you might enjoy...Donna also might. http://www.vhfcn.org/ridehuey.htm make sure you click on the "ride' bar. No...the vibrations didn't do this to me.
