I'm new to the forum and am looking forward to being a part of this community. I've just started reading more about transgender issues, support groups, and services and feel like I've tapped into a fountain of experience. I've had yearnings to explore my femme identity for fifteen years, but have been slow to get comfortable with the idea. Little did I know how many of us there are with similar stories!
I have an incredibly supportive SO, but I'm not "out" with anyone else in my life and haven't allowed Kimberly out of the house, but I'm enjoying exploring and who knows where it will take me?

Thanks for rolling out the welcome wagon. I must say I'm impressed with how open and helpful everyone seems to be around here. It's a welcome change from some of the internet forums I frequent, and speaks volumes about how much empathy there is for other members of the community.
[Edit: for the following to make any sense you have to realize that my original account name was "KimTime" - it has since been changed.]
--- and by the way, I should have introduced myself as Kimberly. I picked a "handle" more appropriate to other environments than here. Mark it down to not reading the forum rules before registering. I've got a request in to change my account to "Kimberly" or "Kimberly Kael."

Hello Kimberly,
First I must say how sorry I am for being late with a warm welcome and a huge hug. My grandson broke his wrist the other day and I have been running around to all kinds of doctors, anyway!!.
Hay don't feel bad about staying in the house as I dress almost everyday and the wife will not let me go anywhere in public but I can go outside in the yard and around the old place. You see we live way out in the woods and believe you me everybody knows everybody.
So with that said

After the past few years around here it started to seem like the reputation of the rainy NW was undeserved, but this year? Whew. I'm definitely ready for a little sunshine! Of course there's something to be said for rainy days when I don't
really have any reason to leave the house and can let Kimberly lounge around all day.

Welcome Kimberly,
Visited the NW a couple of times and have been told it is wonderful to live there as the good days make you forget all the rain.
Look forward to your participation!

That's the absolute truth. Everything is so lush and green around here through most of the year, and spring and fall are both a spectacular riot of colors. The blossoming cherry trees and other early signs of spring are enough to take your breath away and make you forget about the long nights and overcast of winter.
At the moment, I can't imagine living anywhere else.

Hi Kimberly--
Welcome to this forum; come on in! I have family in Seattle, and would hope to get up there sometime this year. I'm glad your SO is supportive.
That's a very good way to continue on this journey--with support.
