Hi folks,

This is a little hard for me because I usually don't do the introductory thing. There's a couple of reasons for that.

One is, I don't feel exactly new on the internet, I feel rather old. I've been hanging around since 1996 which is like 72 years in normal time.

The other is, I feel like most people already know more about me than they probably want to, and I hate repeating myself. It's like when you begin a story with "Stop me if I told you this already..."

But I saw what some people said about me in the Links Of Interest section and I couldn't let people get away with spreading such rummors.

No, but seriously...it was very kind and I was touched by it. The problem is that anything I say now is going to sound so cliche: e.g.

"No please, I really don't deserve it"
"I never would have thought"
"You love me, you really love me"

See what I mean?

What I can say is that it is nice to hear and I am always glad to learn that people have visted my site and found something there that mattered to them. It was what I hoped for when I started the site.

I should warn you though that I am not the person you think I am. I have tried very hard not to tell other people what to do. I believe that the transgender experience is about as personal as it gets and the only one who knows what best for you is you.

I would be happy to share a point of view or an experience from time to time, and to engage in any discussion motivated by a desire to better understand.

And again, thank you for the kind words.

Hi Yvonne, welcome to the forum. You're not alone, I never did the introductory thing myself! 8)

Good morning Yvonne,
-wel-
It's great to have you here with us (as a member)!!! :) =D> :)

I don't think anything you'd say is too cliche'. I think it's very cool that you said hi again. :)

I understand the repeating thing though. I don't like doing that either.

There is a twist though. Lots of folks here are not familiar with your site and are new to the web. So they missed or haven't seen your site and most likely those new folks also missed the advice that you've shared on the CDDF. :(

There are lots of GG's and CD'rs here who could benefit from the knowledge you've gained about yourself since 1996.

I know about you because of the CDDF and your site, but reading your posts here will be new. I do hope you contribute. [-o< I think you have lots to offer that won't be a repeat.

What did you mean, "I'm not who you think I am?" I thought you were a crossdresser who talked about her experiences and had a very nice web site with important and resourceful links. Is there something you want to share?

Hey Yvonne,
As one who is "new" to the internet, "new" to discussion forums, "new" to a lot of things, and no, I haven't visited your website (yet) and don't really navigate to the CDDF, I am not familiar with you.

So an introduction would be nice. I'm glad you have joined our little (or not so little) group, and welcome the chance to get to know you. I hope you like it here.

So, please repeat yourself if necessary. Those who know you won't mind. Those who don't know you (i.e. - me) will have the opportunity to learn. :)

Hugs,
Kyra -wel-

Hi Yvonne,

I agree with Kyra. I have been around for a little while sometimes active and most of the time not, at least until I came here. While I have seen you around, I do hope to learn more and share some good ideas with each other. Welcome. ..o)..

No, no suprise revelations, like, I'm really a woman impersonating a man impersonating a woman - it's been done anyway.

What I meant was, I don't consider myself a guru, or an expert, or an activist, or a spokesperson. Like everyone else, every day I live through this is different than the day before, so I start every day a novice.

But i can see where a statement like that can raise a well-plucked eyebrow.

Hey there Lefty! :) ..o)..

Hi again Yvonne,

What you said was cool. I just wanted you to know your web site was very down to earth. You convey your thoughts to writing very well. So I was just trying to tell you, what you said in the post I'm responding to is, exactly the way your website comes across. =D>

Of all the things you are, you are humble. Suuuure, maybe you're not as humble in a short skirt and in 5" heels  (who is?), but your soul is humble and that's the important part.

Thank you for responding!!! :)

Hi Yvonne--
Your website meant a lot to me when I was first dealing with TG stuff. I had been on the Internet in '97, but I wasn't dealing with CDing. I had a slow computer, and didn't go on the web much.

My new computer and Anita arrived at about the same time, and I begin searching for info. Yours was one of the first sites I visted. I still intend to put up a site, and pass on the tradition that people like yourself have started.

Welcome to this forum!

Hi Yvonne,

It's great to see you here! Yes, glowing things have been said about you here. That can be hearwarming or embarrassing, depending on one's mood.

But let me say this--there are LOTS of wonderful people here. And I could (and do!) say glowing things about all of them. And rightfully so.

People here seem to all understand the importance of "accentuating the positve and eliminating the negative. " In other words, the positive stuff gets said loud and proud. The negative stuff usually doesn't need to get mentioned.

So you're among VERY good company here!

And for all of us who've gotten burned out at the old CDDF, this place is a welcome relief.

Welcome Yvonne!!

I'm so glad you joined us here at the forum. I've been a fan of your website for some time. I think its very informative.

Before I came out of my shell and met so many wonderful people, your website was one of the first places I read about other crossdressers.

I look forward to participating with you in the discussions here.

hugs,

Sharon Rose
