Hi everyone,

I have lurked on this site for a few years, and only recently had the courage to join. I hope you can forgive me for taking so long to show my face. I have always admired everyone here, and found the advice offered to be very helpful.

I am in my mid 30s, been married for six years and have a two year old daughter. I came out to my wife about a year into our marriage and we've had our ups and downs with my crossdressing since then. Thanks to this forum, I've been careful to take baby steps, and it seems to be working well for us. Anyway, there will be plenty of time later to tell my story (if anyone cares :) ).

Take care,
Jamie

Hi, Jamie, and welcome to the Forum! We're glad that we (everyone here and the forum itself) have been helpful to you and your wife.

Your wife is more than welcome to join, and we do have an area where we may post in private, too.

We're looking forward to your participation, so don't be shy.

Welcome aboard Jamie.
Glad you decided to join in. There are a bunch of great people at the forum always willing to listen and happy to help.
Like SL said, maybe your wife would like to connect with other SO's and chat with others in the same boat. -wel-

I'm glad you decided to move beyond lurking and introduce yourself, Jamie. It's nice to see people taking positive steps in expressing themselves - after all, isn't that what this is all about? Even seemingly little things like shopping habits, family interaction, tips and tricks for looking (and feeling) pretty can be incredibly meaningful to someone else in the community. Share it all, girl.

I, for one, would be very interested in hearing your story. It seems that no two people share exactly the same path but that some common threads do show up. It's fascinating to hear it right from the source, the experiences, thoughts, and struggles that finally led to the realization that "I am a cross-dresser."

Again, thanks for introducing yourself! I look forward to seeing more from you.

Thanks for the hearty welcome, everyone. This is such a wonderful community! I look forward to being a part of it.

Silver Lady - Some time ago I mentioned to my wife that the forum has a strong SO representation. At the time she didn't express interest. Maybe I'll mention it again in the near future. I don't want to pressure her.

Kimberly and Carol Ann - Thanks for taking interest. I will post my story at some point, but not tonight. I only have a few minutes.

Lori - I'm in the eastern part of PA.

Sincerely,
Jamie

Hi Jamie--
I'm glad you came down from the hills and joined us here. Being in your thirties, you're probably one of the younger ones here, although I have no statistical figures to show that. I'm glad to hear that the baby steps are working well, after six years. Welcome to the forum!
