Guten Tag(Hello) From Germany

Post by Tracy W »

I'm new to the forum...duh!(Yes I'm blonde) and I'm also new to dressing. I was told about this forum from one of your members I met on another non-related topic site. I'm so grateful to her. In my short time reading all of your wonderful stories here, I have learned alot and realize I have alot to learn. Hope I don't make any big time noobie goofs.
I'm just a mid 30's guy who is finally starting to understand himself. Look forword to my learning experience and hopefully making some understanding friends.

Greetz,
Tracy

P.S. This is my first "public/open" admission! whew! What a step!

Hi Tracy,

Welcome aboard! :) I hope you enjoy the time you spend here (and I get the feeling you'll be spending a goodly amount of time on the forum  ). I'm sure you'll gain a better understanding of yourself, merely by rubbing shoulders with others who have gone (or are going) through what you are.

Congrats, by the way, on this being your first post ever. Let me guess: cold sweat, triphammering heart, three consecutive cups of coffee, revision and rewriting, finger eternally poised above the "Submit" button, dressed in your best finery? We've all been there, Tracy, trust me. And you're right, it IS a big step. It's the moment (for many, if not most, of us) when we proclaim: "Hey! This is me! A man who loves dressing as a woman." Once that dozen words is out there, in the world, we're on the road to living a life more authentic (even though we may be in the closet for years to come). So: congratulations, Tracy. Welcome both to the forum as well as to the "true" you! I look forward to hearing more from you.

Love,
CJ

Welcome Tracy,

Hope you will grow to enjoy your "gift" as much as a lot of us do.

Seeking out your place on the "crossdresser's continuum" is challenging as well as rewarding. I guess I am somewhat the exception to all this as I have not found a down-side to my gift.

Hope you stay and participate.

Virginia

PS: We (SL and I) were in your beautiful country back in September and it is amazing. What really struck me was the cleanliness. No trash anywhere, even along the highways. Such pride in one's country. We could definitly take a lesson here from you folk!

Guten Tag, Tracy, and a big welcome to the Forum!

It was definitely a joy to visit Germany, such a beautiful country and everyone we met was friendly. We wished we had more time to actually play tourist while we were there, but maybe we'll be able to travel there again! [-o<

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Got really scared cause I had a banned message when I tried to check back in!! Panic overcame me for a minute, but figured it was a techno thing, because here I am. I'm not much of a computer person, so I'm learning that as well!(again I'm blonde)

CJ,
You guessed right! I had to mop the computer area afterwards because of all the sweat, plus clean a ashtray of way to many smokes! It was nerve racking, but it was worth it. Feels like a giant weight was lifted off my shoulders. Nothing worthwhile in life is easy. I do plan on being here alot, it makes me feel better.

Virginia and Silverlady,
Glad you liked Germany. It is a great place. However, I can't claim it as my native country. I'm just an American who is lucky enough to be living here. I feel this country helped me a little bit because the people here are more open minded.(More so than where I lived in the US) I do call it my home now and plan on staying forever.

Thanks again. My future is already looking brighter!

Greetz,
Tracy

Hi Tracy
CJ, Virginia and the lovely SL, three of the best!
Welcome to this wonderful place from me across the channel *sink* . May I add that I love Germany too from my many visits to Wiesbaden. Having enjoyed the hospitality of the locals and an American family on the base there. Once again Welcome to the best forum on the net

Welcome Tracy,

I just joined a few days ago and have found everyone so wonderful and it was such a relief to hit the submit button. Though I have to admit that I hit the back button on the computer during registration and to the point of saying, just as CJ said, I', a guy and I love feeling pretty when I'm dressed up.
I had a relative stationed in Germany, whom we hated to see come home because of all the wonderful things that were sent back nutcrackers, cuckoo clocks, and other beautiful crafts and products from Germany.

Welcomen! Tracy. When you said you were a Newbie, I wondered if you were a service member. I spent two years in Germany, 17 months in Wiesbaden and 7 in Mannheim form 82 to 84. Loved it! Loved to go to Volks Marches all over the country on the weekend. Silly me, in the Army at the time, I ran the 10 and 20 K paths, but did really well on my P T test because of it. Loved the food and wine too. Choose for now!

Hi Tracy--
Welcome to the forum. My brother was stationed in Germany in the mid-50s. He seemed to feel like he had come "home," and picked up the language rather quickly.

It is a big deal to post on a CD forum for the first time, for sure.

I'm overwhelmed by the welcome mat everyone has shown me here. It feels so great to be accepted for who I am. For the first time in my life I don't feel alone.
Germany appears to have fans here. I was in the military for a couple of years, thats how I came to love this country. Now I am a civilian living here as a resident of Germany. I got a German resident permit and bought a house, and I never plan on leaving. It is so great to be living here.
Once again, thanks for the support and looking forward to getting to know everybody.

WELCOME Tracy,

from another Germany fan. Both my parents have German blood [Hanover and Baden], but we've been here since the 1880's. I guess Kaiser Wilhelm chased a few people off.

Is it more expensive living there? Can you take part in the socialized medicine and how well does that work? I saw a PBS show on their medical system and apparently most people were really happy with it.
