Re: Gender freedom
Hey Rony! Yes I agree - fascinating! It seems to me that whatever his / her parents do, they are making choices for their child because - children can't exercise their own informed choices at that age.
Incidentally - in relation to the pink dress / blue dress thing. Did you know that Blue is the colour traditionally associated with girls and pink the colour associated with boys? Blue because of the link to the virgin Mary and pink because it is close to red which was seen as a powerful, blood like colour. This was the case until about 1949 when women starting to adopt pink post second world war independence.
If that doesn't freak you out - did you know that all children were called girls? Male children were Knave girls and female children were Gay girls. Boy means servant!
Funny old world isn't it?

Re: Gender freedom
Which is obviously why the British navy had blue uniforms in WWII (Hence? Navy Blue) and gays had to wear pink triangles in the Nazi camps in the same period. It was because the navy wanted to attract feminine men and the Nazis secretly thought gays were hyper-masculine.Ginny Jones wrote: Did you know that Blue is the colour traditionally associated with girls and pink the colour associated with boys?
