Interesting, but I found the alternatives too subjective and ambiguous. Looking at the choices was educational, at least. Trying to rate myself, I vacillate between II and III - but maybe a little smidgen of IV.

The COGIATI test is more robust, and the choices are clearer. Whether it is truly diagnostic is still a question.

Have fun,

Willy

!!!yes!!! I agree with Willy that the descriptions are far too ambiguous. I identified with the descriptions of both types II & III.

Hi all,

Of all the tests and information that I have come across, including all that is on this site. I have not found that any one describes me to a tee.

I don't think it is possible to ever find such a thing, We are and should be a mixture. It dose not surprise me in the least that there are those who find themselves between the numbers. That is the way it should be.

I have found some value in every kind of this sort of thing that has come across my screen. What this has done for me is enable me to see that there are those who have a harder time than I have fitting in to this world we live in.

There are those who can not get there needs met the same way I do. They need more than I do. This information has helped me understand better the things some of the girls here have written that do not apply to me.

And this is exactly what I needed. The glass is half full.

No test that I have done has ever totally described me to a tee
I usually look for the level that has the most or closest descriptions , there are some charts I've tested myself on where I have equal qualities in 2 catagories as Darlene points out.

It also depends too how many levels are on the chart , but generally I find myself just above the centre line and just below transexual .

Uhm, according to the chart, I'm a type II with some type I tendancies. Woo hoo! I'm a drag queen! :)

(no, I'm not serious)

Hi Darlene,

Do you think that link is dated? Meaning do you think the chart shows how the typical beliefs of mental health professionals needs to be updated?

I don't think it really fit me at all. Referring to some one as a Drag Queen in a professional doc to me kind of shows the age of the info.

What do you think?

Seems I'm a type III, but "Psychotherapy: If attempted, almost never successful as to cure."??

I'm a non-violent person but anyone trying to "cure" me gets a 3inch heel in the eye ;)

Hi Beauty,

Typical beliefs of mental health professionals is not something I am up to date on. So I don't think I can contribute to your question.

Perhaps there are those here who are, that could provide an educated opinion.

Thanks for your question :)
