That means the server is busy--the link is active, promise, I've just checked it again. However, if you get that message again, doing the following will get you there too, albeit less directly:-

The I.E. message also says "Please try the following...and is followed by 4 bullet points, the second of which says, "Open the www.vernoncoleman.com homepage, and then...Now click the underlined link to bring up the homepage. Then click the big 'click here' link in middle of page, just opposite the bottom edge of the guy's picture. That brings up another page with a menu down the L-hand side. Scroll down to 'Miscellany' and click that link. That brings up the Miscellany page, and the 20th item on the lis is 'Crossdressing: What's good for the Goose is Good for the Gander"

Alternatively, you can just wait a little, and try the link again that I mentioned in my initial post.

Incidentally, ther are a number of other articles on that Miscellany page of direct interest to readers of this forum:-

1. 'Men in Dresses,' number 17 in the list, though you'll need to count because they're not numbered.

While this article has many very good points, I feel the author has arrived at them through some false assumptions, such as the following. for which he offers no validation.

Indeed, female crossdressers - women who choose to dress in clothing normally worn by men and to thereby bring out the masculine aspects of their own personality - are so numerous and so open about their crossdressing that they face no problems from society.

For me the definition of a cross-dresser is determined by what that activity provides for a person emotionally. If it is not meeting an emotional need that can not be met by any other means then it is not considered as cross-dressing to me. (Certainly not healthy cross-dressing.)
I do not consider it cross-dressing unless the women wearing men's clothes are trying to identify with the male gender and vice versa. According to the SOs that I have communicated with they state that they are not attempting to identify with male gender, and that is what the issue seems to be for many of us cross-dressers.

However having said that I fully believe in the following statement by the author

wearing feminine clothing is an extension of their lives, and not a substitution for their masculinity.

Perhaps that is what Deborah meant when she referred to one loosing there CD identity once one transitions involving surgical alterations etc. If so how very wise Sis.

I'm glad you got through to the site at last.

Regarding Professor Coleman's opinions though, I don't agree with
some of them either, but it's good that he has so many positive things to say about crossdressing, and that he says them so publicly.

The extensive survey he conducted, and explains in detail in 'Men in Dresses' is also an interesting read.

I think that some of us, and our SOs, who still have some difficulties in dealing with CDing could find a lot of comfort in what Professor Coleman says.
