The History Chicks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Probly like a lot of us here - my work places a serious crimp on my dressing activities. I spend a lot of time in the car and so I have gotten into the habit of listening to audiobooks to break the day up. Anyhoo - recently I have discovered podcasts (I am reliably informed that they came out juss shortly after the refridgerator - who was to know?). Where was I ... podcasts! Soooo - recently I found a gem and wanted to share it with you.
http://thehistorychicks.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The programme consists of two american women (Beckett and Susan) discussing famous female characters from history. Each episode lasts for about an hour and to date there are 91 episodes! WaHay!!
The programmes are educational - they are are obviously well informed and the format is conversational... so lots of humour and not dull! Aside from the subject matter, I find that when listening, it feels like being part of the conversation. Boy does this make the day go quicker! Have a listen to episode 15 on 1950's housewives if you are wanting a sample to try out.
Anyhoo - have fun!
P.S. I am not on any form of kickback for this plug! Juss thought I'd say!
