I don't know if anyone here has ever tried this, or posted about it, but I was recently reintroduced to it, and I thought the ladies here might be interested.

It's called My Virtual Model. You start out with a blank human form, then fill in details like height, weight and body shape. You can then customize the form by adding a face, hair and other details. Once your form is complete, you can use it to virtually "try on" clothes by different manufacturers at their websites.

When I first found the site last year, it was a toy. I'd use it to make up idealized female forms. Not so, now. I built up a model using my true height and weight, then fitted it with a hairstyle which matches my current wig. It looks almost exactly like me! Freaky, yet cool at the same time.

I tried it Jaye, with my accurate measurement. The 245 lb VM was not a bit to my liking. [-( Changed the weight to my goal weight, and it came out ok.

I've played with it fairly extensively over the last couple of years and they've improved it alot since they first started.

Donna, did you try changing body types or other proportions to see if you got a better model?

Did you save any of your models as graphics? This could make a good source for avatars!

Just the two weight differences. Didn't save any of them, like my avatar the way it is. It's a lot better looking than the VM was. :)
