Post by Lorna »

GARY, Ind. - A male student who has worn women's clothes to school all year was turned away from his high school prom because he was wearing a dress.

Well Carolynn, you may be right, we may have a long way to go, but each story, each contact with "society" by "us" brings us that much closer to being accepted - ?understood? well that is another story. But we are making ourselves known and this kid like those of us who do dress and venture forth into society is serving as an ambassador for the rest of us and you know our motto:" Small steps honey, just small steps!"
Love,

Alright going to chime in on this one. What the school was wrong if they had been allowing him to wear clothing designed for a female all year long then where is the prom any differnt. The dress he was wearing was great I would love to look as good in it as he did. It is no dfferent than the dresses I saw other teenage ladys wearing for the prom night around here.

And another big shame of it all is the double standard by the principle. She didn't prevent a female student from attending in a Tux.

If he lives in America, he can sue for major money. And I mean MAJOR money. It's not that I condone abusing of our condition for money, but I think that if you are denied standing up for your ideals, they should pay up. Big time.
As if it's not already hard enough to deal with the social denial, they shouldn't allow ANYONE their right to express what they believe. It's a constitutional right!
