So just for giggles I took it again. Results: ***You Are 47% Feminine, 53% Masculine***

Results: Just taking into account the Males who took this quiz, your choices are the same as 64% of the Males!

If instead we compare you to the Females who took this quiz, your choices are the same as 66% of the Females!

Impression is that most questions are derived from stereotypes of M/F characteristics. Doesn't mean it's bad, though. Just predictable.

The purpose of a "test" is to find out what you don't already know that isn't obvious. So, this one is a big fail. Fun though. Slightly more than reading fortune cookies at a gathering of friends where you must add a stock phrase at the end of your fortune, e.g. "in bed."

Hmm. They don't give any demographics about their test base, but this is a women's online forum. So that says I'm somewhat typical of both males and females who spend time at that site and take this test. Uh, wow, I think.

This one is compiled in the same way that most standardized tests are, by finding correlations to values that don't obviously have anything to do with the questions. So, it's harder to game it. Seeing as results are compared to others who've taken it, the validity within the group of intended test-takers is probably quite high. Whether that reflects values among this CD group as well is questionable.

[Full disclosure: I'm a retired designer and publisher of developmental scale assessments for children. I'm also a retired staff reviewer for an American sports/entertainment magazine. So I'm knowledgeable AND bitchy -- but that's probably obvious.]
