Born December 7th 1949,this innovative songwriter, actor and man born after his time has numerous albums, many movie credits and songs in many more movies. His album "Nighthawks at the Dinner" is one of my favorities. "Small Change" is another and how can we ever forget"Swordfish Trombones" A Beatnick born too late. As he said in a song from Nighthawks in his unique vocal style"Don't got a spare, don't got a jack, don't give a s--- because I'm never coming back". Who is this great songwriter and
man after his time?

Right on Sweety. I must be built backwards in my head. I thought it always feel good music! His songs are great and he's funny. I remember a line from a song in "Nighthawks" where he's talking about....well you know.....spanking the monkey. He said in that unmistakable voice "I'm not weird about or anything. I don't tie myself up first. I just spend a little time with myself."
If you ever want to see a creepy movie rent the film"Spanking the Monkey" Men will get the heeby jeebies after watching that one.
A close second for weirdness is "Eraserhead" if you can sit through it! My best friend Gary who died last year was a bit off center and would recommend movies and my wife would flip out. It was great! Hugs

PS. You should see some of the birthday and greeting cards he used to send me.I'd post them in my picture gallery but I would be thrown off the forum! We have a mutual friend who is a partner in a very conservative Boston law firm and Gary sent him a letter at the firm. The envelope said on the front in huge black letters"PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL....AIDS TEST RESULTS'" I just laugh thinking about it till this day. Gary was out of his freaking mind. I knew him forty years but most of the stories I can't tell on the forum. I miss him.
