I loved it when you said Rockers/music lovers?. Some of the talent is highly qustionable Kendra but rock is fun.
As for Steely Dan it came from the William Burroughs novel"Naked Lunch". It was steam powered dildo. Who knew!
I remember Fairport Convention. There are so many really great musicians out there that don't get much recognition. The Rockers get all the glory and the babes!
I always liked Chet Atkins.He had effortless stlye. Ry Cooder is another one of my favorties. I enjoy acoustic players who have great fingerpicking stlyes.
I do enjoy Larry Carlton. He is a good musician.

PS. There was amp advertisment in Guitar Player magazine. It showed the volume knob and after the 10 setting it said"suck". That's the setting I always use! When I start playing people go screaming from the room. It's a great way to get rid of unwanted company. It works every time!
