I'm very happy UK have a Labour Government still, this morning :) I am very happy too, with my local area returning our Labour MP to Parliament and I'm very happy that the Liberal Democrats have their best result since the 1920s :)

I'm happy that you're happy, Curly! And yes, that is good news for the UK! (--)

Plus I'm also happy that my little EBay venture is doing pretty good so far! Next week I collect a nice little profit from selling 30 cameras to one buyer - yay!!! *-*

This will sound crazy, but in order for me to be genuinely funny when I've done my standup is tell a bunch of real bad jokes - you know, get it of my system. Case & point: the animal waste thread.

If you didn't see it, never mind. Pretend I did not mention it. In fact I'm using the Jedi mind trick on you right now. "There is no animal waste thread." There. All done.

Anyway, once I get all the bad jokes out of my system, I can then focus on what truly makes 'em laugh! rotf rotf rotf

This year I've got a bunch of new material from coworkers with issues to customers who act like buying a watch is a bigger & more crucial life decision than buying a house, or where to send your precious little ones to school. I have honestly seen people make up their minds on buying cars in less time than it takes for them to decide on a lousy $75 watch. Geesh! :? #-o rotf

Lorna,

I like to take my time browsing, but when I ask for service at the watch counter, I want closer looks at 2 or 3 watches and I'm definitely going to buy at least one. My price range is well below $75, more like in the elegant Timex price range. One of my coworkers is a real watch fan and has at least 2 Rolexes and wears one all the time. Oh well, to each their own.

I hear you hon... Now I have no problem whatsoever with anyone who wants to browse all around, because we do have a huge selection! They can take all the time in the world - look around, take it all in.

But my problem is when people want me to actually pull at least 11 or 12 different watches out of the display cases for the next hour & a half & then after looking at a dozen watches, have the nerve to tell me "I'll think about it" and walk away. What a waste of my time! #-o

And I knew damn well that they had no intention of buying as soon as they approach the counter, but I can't be rude or standoffish because then I'd get in trouble. They look around here & there, no clue as to what they want, and I'm forced to follow them as they look. Meanwhile there are people waiting to actually buy, but they get flustered & leave because I'm stuck for 90 minutes with that one person who knows in their mind that they're not planning to buy anything - they're just playing games. They have nothing better to do with their ample free time besides hang out at the mall & mess with everybody. :? They just want to waste my time. They have no money or better yet, no jobs - why else are they browsing in the mall on a workday?

They can browse all they want. But if someone has the intent to actually make a purchase, they come first.
