In, I guess. I like flight sims, but as fate would have it, I make a lousy pilot. In enjoy video games that involve flying (Crimson Skies: The High Road to Revenge and Heroes of the Pacific are 2 that immediately spring to mind), but I'm afraid that realistic flight is a little beyond me. It's a shame really, because I love to fly, and I'm a huge airplane nut.

I love flight simulators. I use Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and do okay with that. (I am getting to the point where I can even land the big planes and stay mosly on the runway! =D> )

I actuallly took flying lessons and logged 12 hours of real flight time before I moved. There was a huuuuge difference in price which I simply could not afford.

I voted IN but haven't been in since the late 1980's. I imagine there much better now

One of the guys I worked with had it on his PC, but didn't have the instructions. I enjoyed figuring it out, and was the first one to make a safe flight.

I'm a licensed pilot, but I didn't vote. I don't have that sim (I have FS98). I can't bear the thought of destroying another aircraft - even if it is only a virtual aircraft.

Sadly, economics prevent my flying (reality mode) since shortly after 9/11/01.

Hugs,

Bernice

I used a dial up for a long time, I had some lag but not enough to cause problems, you have to keep an eye on the ping ratio in the game to see if you will be compatable and which version you are running, if yo need any help you can reach me through the email link below, in the subject line put in fligh sim and I will know its someone from here:).

Danette,
Hey dont loose heart, the new server hamacji can let yo play in flight sim with other players as if you were on cable. I flew it last nite and a friend who is on dial up flew with us. I was suprised to see them in the map but they were stable and killing us all.If you want to try a simple sim, download ares, its a p2p shareing program and search for Microsoft combat flight simulator. download it and follow the instructions in the read me file. You can get Hamachi at http://www.hamachi.cc/ and set up yourself a account it free. Let me know if you have any questions.
