Mayhem in the house

One afternoon a man came home from work to find total mayhem in his house.
His five children were outside, still in their P.J's, playing in the mud, there was boxes and wrappers strewn all over the yard, the door to his wife's car was open and so was the front door to the house.

As he walked into the house he saw a lamp had been knocked over, the TV was blarring and the family room was strewn with toys, clothing etc. In the kitchen he found the sink full of dirty dishes, breakfast food was still on the table, dog food was spilled over the floor, a broken glass lay on the table and there was sand all over the floor.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and piles of clothing, by now he was getting worried and concerned for his wife's safety.

He found her lounging in the bedroom, still in her nighty, laying back reading a book and eating chocolates.

She smiled up at him and asked how his day went. he looked at her completely bewildered and asked, " What on earth happened here today?"

She again smiled at him and said, " You know how everyday you come home from work and ask me what did I do all day?"

"Yes" he said.

She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it".
