A man traveling through the south at Christmas time was admiring all the different lawn decorations each house had when he came upon a house with a Nativity scene where the three wise men were wearing fireman's helmets. Taken aback by this the man approached the house and knocked on the door. When the man inside the house opened the door the traveler said to him, " I've been admiring all the different decorations at each house, but I am afraid I don't understand why the three wise men in your Nativity scene are wearing firemen's helmets ".
The man inside the house said to the traveler, " You must not know of the story of the three wise then ". To which the traveler answered, " Excuse me, but I do and I never heard of them wearing firemen's helmets ". The man inside the house said to the traveler, " Wait here and I show you why they are wearing firemen's helmets ".
The man went inside his house and returned with a Bible, and said to the traveler, " It states right here, " And three wise men came from afar ".
Merry Christmas.
