The last laugh was on her!

After having read through a couple of heavy threads, I felt the need to drop by here and lighten my mood. After reading a few posts, I began to look back on my own CD (mis)adventures in the hopes of contributing to this thread. With that in mind, I give you the following true story....
Some time after our divorce, my ex had come by my apartment for some reason or another -I don't recall the specifics anymore. While there, she noticed my hard-to-miss acrylics that I was wearing 24/7 at the time and she said "Alright, I think I'm ready to see a photo of 'her'. I suppose you have one?"
Have one I did, and so I'd shown her the full size shot that was the basis of my avatar here on the forum. At first she laughed aloud, so I'd asked her to elaborate. All she could muster up was "I used to kiss this!!??". Then after regaining her composure and gazing at it another few minutes, she said "Well, OK. I admit.. it's pretty good. But not something I'd have EVER been comfortable with."
We finished up whatever business she came to conduct and on her way out the door, she asked me if she could show it to her sister, to which I'd agreed.
A few weeks later, I'd run into her sister in passing -no pun intended. Being that we'd continued to be on a friendly basis, I thought I'd ask her if she'd seen the photo yet. She didn't give me a chance, however, as she launched right into how she thought it was fantastic this and fantastic that. In short, her reaction was the complete opposite of my 'ex's reaction.
Then she gave me a sly look and said "I'm not supposed to tell you this. But it's just too good and, in a way, serves her [my ex] right." So then she told me of how my ex had stashed the photo in her purse, thinking that it'd only be a day or two before she'd drop by her sister's place.
Well, seems that a 'day or two' became nearly two weeks and my ex had forgotten all about the photo until one night when she had to give a presentation somewhere. She was running late, as was usual for her, and couldn't find her keys. So the new hubby -being the dutiful guy he is- grabs her purse and starts fishing through it, convinced the keys are gonna be in there.
Sure enough, he finds the keys (duh!) and heads over to the entry way where the ex is gathering up her notebook or whatever. Just as he walked up to her, the photo slips out of the purse and falls to the floor. He picks it up, turns it over and says 'Wow..! Who's the babe!!??" To which the ex replies "That's no 'babe', you idiot...!! That's my ex-husband!!" and proceeds to smack him so hard his cheek actually drew blood and was red for a week!
Ah, ladies. It just doesn't get any better than that!
