Army Golf

Saw a friend today who I knew had just taken up golf. He had invested (is the correct word considering the cost) in custom clubs, a golf cart, etc. So I asked him how it was going.
"Really great", he enthused. "I'm already up to Army Golf!"
Well, I didn't know, so I stepped in it and asked what Army Golf was.
He said, "Every time I step up to the tee to drive the ball, it goes left, right, left, right, left, right, left, and so on.
So I asked if he had broken any of his clubs yet from frustration. He responded, "It was a near thing a few times, but the available trees were too small and far apart, so he was still getting a grip on his clubs".
