My Dog

Just in case you were wondering: My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.
He has his food prepared for him. He can eat whenever he wants, 24/7/365.
His meals are provided at no cost to him.
He visits the Doctor once a year for his checkup,
and again during the year if any medical needs arise.
For this he pays nothing, and nothing is required of him.

He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs,
but he is not required to do any upkeep.
If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.
He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.

He receives these accommodations absolutely free.
He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.
All of his costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day.
I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head . . .

 Holy manure, my dog is a Socialist!

** Kudos to my girlfriend who sent this to me, who shall remain nameless. **

Ah, I always suspected Socialism was Mankind's best friend. It's in the doghouse right now, though. ;)

Yep, most of our politicians are dogs.

^ Agreed, and those political dogs need to be kept on a very short leash (6' or less), with a choke-collar and/or 'invisible fence' collar . . . or all of the above!

I wish our elected officials would behave as well as dogs, and cost us as little. Why did we give them our checkbook?

My beloved 4legged socialist is, while having never been required to do so, credited with saving me as i fought my demons, and tbh, she earned her keep numerous days out in the field.
If i was to or could require anything of her, it would be to stop aging.
I'm currently trying to get her to use a ramp to get on the bed with me instead of making it halfway and then needing my help, i haven't slept the night thru in weeks now cuz she wakes me trying to climb in.

Thanx for that SL, was nice to read.

As for politicians? comparing them to our pets is an insult to all our furry little loving family members......imo.
