Fred and Charlie worked together, Fred had a "hair lip" and Charlie was cripple from birth. They however took a European vacation together, when they returned their cohorts gathered around to hear about the trip.

"Well it was interesting, the Pope came up to Charlie, looked him over, reached out and took his crutches from him and..." Excitement filled the room "WOW! did he walk? what happened??"
"Well." replied Fred, " He fell on his backside - he's a cripple you know!"
