During a visit to a mental institution, a visitor asked the Director, " What is the criteria you use to determine which defines whether a patient is to be institutionalised?"

The Director replied, " We fill a bathtub full of water, we then offer the patient a teaspoon, a tea cup and a bucket and ask them to empty the bath."

"Depending on how they empty the bath, we then make a decision as to their mental well being or not."

Scroll down for the answer.

"Oh I understand." said the visitor, " I'd think a normal person would use the bucket as it'd empty the bath quicker than the other two."

"Nooooooooooooo" answered the Director, " A normal person would pull the plug out"

(You're not required to tell ahyone how you did on this test.)

Hi Sally,

I didn't get it. I thought I'd use the bucket first. Then the cup and then the spoon. Maybe by the time I started using the cup or the teaspoon I would have figured it out. :)

You got me! :)
