The Elephant

While taking a long drink at a pond, an old elephant, battle-scarred from decades of jungle life, happened to glance up and spotted a snapping turtle lazing on a nearby stone. Its eyes narrowing, the elephant lumbered over, raised a foot, and squashed the turtle flat.
Observing the murder from the jungle, a zebra wandered over. "Why the heck did you do that?" the zebra asked.
"This was the same animal that bit off the tip of my trunk over ten years ago!" the elephant exclaimed.
The zebra's eyes widened at this. "The same one? Wow, it's true!! An elephant never does forget!"
Raising his head proudly the elephant said, "Yup, turtle recall."
