A crappy life is other peoples fault.

Post by Jeannie »

Hi Ladies

If your life is in the crapper, it's not your fault. It's your parents, your siblings, your friends and partners fault. If you believe that ,you also think that George W Bush is a brilliant man.
Waiting for someone else to make your life whole is like trying to find Rupaul at the upcoming Republican convention. I wasted 55 long years waiting for others to make me feel happy when the only person that could do that was the person I saw in the mirror every day.
Harry Truman had a plack on his desk in the White House. It read" The buck stops here." Misery is your own making and no one elses girls. Just a thought.

Hi Jeannie--
It's a very mysterious process, to watch someone suddenly wake up and say, "I'm not happy with the way my life is going, and I'm going to change it." And they do. The exact opposite of what you're posting about. It's inspiring when a person bootstraps themselves out of poverty, depression, abuse or whatever else it might be, but it's (dern) hard to do. [family board, you know]

I once likened it to having an emergency generator, like hospitals do. Someone you depend on drops the ball, and suddenly you've got to function on your own in a way that you weren't counting on. At times like that, it doesn't matter who was responsible-you've got to keep the lights on until you can get back to some kind of stabililty.

Hope life is treating you well there in Waterbury, J!

Is it crazy or what Anita?

Hi Anita
Most humans are completely defective. Me included. We all live our lives in silent desperation and never do anything to change the course we have set for ourselves. I know some believe in creation and that's fine. But if you think a God is all knowing and never makes mistakes, human beings were a huge mistake. I'm sure if there is a Creator he or she is saying " What the freak was I thinking!"
Every plant, insect, bacteria, virus and animal know how to survive. They can go with the natural order. Humans are on the highway to Hell and they don't know it Anita. Natural instinct will perpetuate the species. Giving humans a thinking brain was a big mistake.
A cockroach has been around for millions of years and is just waiting for our own self destruction. We are well on our way. " The meek will inheirit the earth"

I understand what you say Jeannie, in a way quite true, but not completely. Well to me anyway,

Some people have had difficulties because of what others have done to them. And some people have developed mental disorders that make life a bit more difficult and having these mental disorders only make more people take advantage of that person, causing the person to have an even more difficult time strapping up those bootstraps.Sometimes it is the other peoples fault.

As you say, maybe if we didn't have a brain, maybe then we might not have mental disorders, maybe without a brain I would be normal like everyone else. I could then get a real job, buy some bootstraps so I can pull them up all by myself.

And then there's Murphy's law,, some people seem to follow this law quite closely.

OH, Jeannie,

Uh, kinda of tripping over our philosophies aren't we! [-X I have to take exception to your, well some of your feelings. First, we are here on this third rock from the sun, and as an evolving species, we have done some good things, granted we have a strange way of getting from point A to point B, but so far we are still taking two steps forward and one step back. When I read about quantum physics and quantum mechanics, what little I can understand, there are some absolutely marvelous and almost unimaginable things that go on. When you segregate us, that is those that do and those that don't, those that do have done some incredible things! I mean to shoot a rocket into space, track down a comet, send out a probe from that rocket to impact the comet, hit it, then gather comet debris and come back to earth, well some of us ain't dumb!! Then on the other hand the senseless killings of our own kind, over a pair of shoes or a pizza or even a piece of land? Yeah, we are kinda dumb!

Some one prostituted an old Indian proverb, but the reality of it is that an old chief was trying to explain human evolution to a young brave and he used this example, that inside of us are two wolves, constantly fighting each other, one good wolf and one bad wolf. The young brave asked which wolf would eventually win and the old chief said, "the one that gets fed!"

So which wolf are we feeding. We are who we are and everyone who is the least bit familiar with Virginia knows how I feel about all this. WE are unique to the human species. We have a beautiful gift, that is to feel the feminine aspect of our existence, the softness, the caring, the loving, nurturing, the gentleness, grace that most of the females of our species have. We need to learn to express that no matter how we are dressed! Let that beautiful aspect of our existence out and touch others with it. You don't have to brag about it or broadcast it, just do it!!! People will be amazed and most will enjoy the true attention that you give them, that they are real and that someone actually sees them, touches them, makes them feel that someone else actually cares about them. I have seen the results and it is wondrous to behold!

You know my theory, "WE may well be the next phase in human evolution!"

Don't be too down on the human race. Yes we may kill each other off, but its been a great ride and if we don't, look at the beautiful challenges we have ahead of us!!!!! Headline, CD'ers Change the World for the GOOD!

Go forth Woman and BE!!!!

Love you all,

Virginia

Life is what YOU make of it. Good, bad, or ugly.

Sure, we have external influences and needs, but ultimately we have to decide what we want from life.

Jeannie, who is to say that fish or cows or snails or whatever are more suited for life than we are? Perhaps we have a more complex life but that doesn't mean that we are more or less suited for life.

Are you PMSing? ;-)

Hugs,

Patti

Only if they are not taught as they grow that their limited only by their own imagination.

When the Creator made man, they made them in such a way to be flawed, as are all creatures, they must learn and adapt over time as they evolve to changes on the planet. All animals do this, as does man because man is nothing more than an animal with opposable thumbs.

It is that very brain you say was a mistake that gives you the ability to be on this board, typing these thoughts and feelings out, doesn't that sort of make this a moot point?

The meek shall inherit the earth yes, however it is not going to happen in this or possibly the next lifetime. By the time mankind does (if at all) destroy itself, many of us here will already be gone on to the next step in this life so it won't matter. Sure, what we do now MIGHT matter, but it is doubtless unless you are one of the many scientific minds trying to work on solutions, that any of us here (on this board) will have a major impact.
