Thanks Donna ,

The Fred Phelps video has angered many people over the last few days.

As for the other halfwit ,

Shock jock "Derryn Hinch" interviewed him on radio station 3AW the other day , Hinch made mince meat of this guys stupid argument.

No News is good News ,

I watched the memorial service on television , it was a good and moving service. There were no reports of crackpot protesters at the service , perhaps they got the message and stayed well away.

There are still a small number of fires that still burn , I'm guessing that they pose no threat to civilization at this time because they haven't been spoken of much. Most days here in the city of Melbourne and metropolitan area has had a blue smoke haze , today is no exception with that smell of burnt vegitation in the air.

The forecast for Monday / Tuesday is for strong winds and heat , exactly what we don't want.

Some of the trees in our area are losing (or lost) their leaves already , its still Summer , normally the leaves turn yellow , red and then brown before they fall in late Autumn , but they are turning brown and falling straight up. A few trees have some black leaves , never before have I seen leaves turn black.

Melbourne will become the capital city of Mars if it doesn't start raining.

Meanwhile in Northen Australia (state of Queensland) , you'll have to take your boat if you want to drive down the main street , weeks of extremely heavy rains have isolated some towns and flooded others.

Well the hot weather is blowing again , a number of towns have been evacuated , the easten suburban fringe of Melbourne (near the Dandenong ranges) has been put on threat alert because fires burn out of control nearby.
Roads in and around the area are either closed by police and / or jammed with traffic.

I am hoping that everyone has got out early

There are a number of followers who will enter this country to protest at the memorial service for the fire victims , we cannot stop these morons entering our country because they dont have a criminal record.
I dont have to describe how offensive it will be to the relatives and friends of the 208 victims to have a group chanting " they all deserved to die" , I would strongly recomend that they do not enter this country.
The mood of talk-back radio callers regarding this issue is pure anger , the presenter has called for restraint and asked people not to go beyond verbally abusing these people during the event , with many thousands likely to attend , I cant see the situation stopping at JUST verbal abuse.
I would strongly suggest that these crackpots take out a good life insurance policy , they'll most likely need it.
UPDATE !

I have just been informed that the protesters DID enter the country , however they didn't protest at the memorial service.

Instead they spent the day shopping at the Victoria Market , an all expenses trip paid by the church , they decieved their church to gain a free holiday down under. ..rofl..

Hi ladies ,

I deleted the last post regarding the serious weather warning , the conditions didn't develop as serious as expected.

Good News ,

We have been blasted with a cold weather snap bringing rain showers , the cold conditions are expected to last into next week.
We're keeping our fingers crossed that the last of the fires will soon be extinguished , the fire authority is confident of getting on top of it .

Interstate & overseas firefighters are now going home

People are returning to what were danger zones

With a bit of luck this will be the end of it and I wont have anything more to add to this topic .

Merinda, that is the best news you have posted on this subject. Will be good to be able to worry about something else.
