I heard on the Radio that Gay Soldiers who had been kicked out under "Don"t ask, Don't tell" were showing up at recruiting centers, ready to re-enlist, in anticipation of its end. Can you imagine that?!

I did not serve myself, but I want to express my gratitude to all of those who did. And I would also extend a special thanks to all those Gay, Black, Transgendered, (that's YOU, my sisters!) Hispanic, Islamic and other minority persons, both citizens, and those hoping to become citizens though their service, who have chosen to serve in spite of the disrespect and exclusion they have been subjected to by so many of their fellow Americans. This is a courage, generosity, wisdom and kindness that, frankly, leaves me embarrassed and in awe. Bless you all, and Bless your dreams!

I am a vessel of the Goddess. Let me express my calling to a feminine life through nurturing love and relatedness.

Remembrance
Lots of the UK came to a silent halt at 11:00 a.m. on the 11th. a lot of traffic stopped and many, many businesses paused for two minutes, it's such a small thing to do it is a shame that some people felt that what they were doing was more important.
On Sunday the official and unofficial services of Rembrance will be held throughout the Country, indeed throughout much of the world, I will be at the Royal Navy Reserve service on HMS Belfast moored on the Thames between London Bridge and Tower Bridge. I have attended this service for around thirty years now, at first it was largly attended by former crew members who served on her during the Second World War and in Korea. Inevitably the numbers of these brave men has dwindled untill a few years ago the service seemed barely worth continueing.
Over the last three or four years, however, there has been a great upsurge in interest and now the quarter deck is full, with standing room only! I suspect that our forces involvement in Iraq and Afganistan has reminded many people of the reality of the sacrifice of so many men and women over the years.
As a died in the wool civilian I honour and thank all those who have served, and remember those who have fallen
